"Botanical Gardens"

During my time I went to the botanical gardens during autumn to get inspiration to create art pieces. On the sunny day i walked around the gardens and through the rainforest capturing photos of different trees, plants and things i saw that would be an interesting subject matter.

From the photos i produced artwork using different media such as drawings, paintings and collages.
As a project we were to create an image to fit in a cd case that we would create using photoshop and print out onto paper. The images could be any type of medium. I used my photos that i took of the swans swimming in the lake and made it black and white with a tinge of colour on the swan's beak. I cropped the image to focus on the swans, changed the levels and used a water colour filter.

Out of the corner of my eye captured by the sun reflection i saw a spider between two trees. I saw a bee just get caught into the middle of the web but no spider. The web was huge and even though i have a fear of spiders i wanted to see what type it was so i tapped on the web. When the spider felt the movement it raced down the web to see the bee caught. As i watched the spider tangle up the bee I took photos in amazement to how quickly it was done.
